How to Fill Your Bobbin

Several weeks ago I posted a video about "How to Fill Your Bobbin" on Crafted Spaces YouTube Channel; but I never got around to sharing it on the blog. So here it is . . . I hope that it helps those of you who are new to sewing and have been stuck on what to do.

I recommend reading your sewing machine manual for specific instructions; however, the video should assist with most sewing machine models.

After you fill your bobbin, you will place it into your bobbin case. This will depend on if your machine is top loading or front loading. Again I recommend referring to your manual for assistance.

Here is an example of a top loading sewing machine. This sewing machine also has a diagram (seen on the lower left) that demonstrates how to thread the bobbin.

Above is an example of a front loading sewing machine. It is also best to use a bobbin that is designed for use with your machine. Most machines come with extra empty bobbins, which may be plastic or metal.

If you have any questions, please leave me a comment below.

Enjoy!
